As Salaamu Alaikum, I would like to know when The Aara Long Cotton Button Down Tunic will be available. Also, I am a frequent buyer and I think their should definitely be frequent buyer discounts. I have called the customer service number, only to receive no return call or pick-up, this is disappointing. I love Artizara clothing, especially hijabs and tunics, shukran for the stylish shopping opportunities. Also The Tamara Long Chambray Snap Tunic is a very cute style, however it is not available in my size which is 6-8...can we please make this available in more sizes? I would very much appreciate it. Thank you, masalaama.

When did pity become a dirty word?!? When you see a fellow human being, regardless of race or religon or gender, who is suffering from abuse or harm, you should feel your heart go out to them. When you see a homeless child starving on the street, you should feel your heart go out to them. The definition of that feeling is pity.

When one human being feels pity for another, they should feel moved to action to help that person. Without pity, sympathy and empathy this world would be an even crueler and harder place than it already is.

Do not make the fatal mistake of confusing heartfelt pity for condecension. When you do you run afoul of the sin of pride.

As for being a victim, what is wrong with that?!? When someone is violated, they have been victimized and they have the right to justice for that victimization. When people want to say that using that word demeans women, they very obviously have never been victimzed in their lives! The act or thing that hurt the person must be faced and dealt with, must be honored for the horrible thing that it was. Otherwise true healing can never take place. Obviously no one stays in one place in their lives, but pretending that no woman is ever a victim is just as arrogent as what the author is railing against.

I will not deny that there is condescension and arrogence shown to Muslim women by non-Mulim women. However I saw a lot of condescension in this article as well. Anger begets anger. As a former victim of sexual assault I'm very offended by some of her statements. I no longer wear that label of victim, I wear the label of survivor. However that was not always the case. When I was bleeding from my soul over what happened to me I was a victim... and there was NOTHING wrong with that.
